San Francisco Giants vs. Arizona Diamondbacks (9:40 pm ET, CSBA)

Arizona Diamondbacks and San Francisco Giants will play their second match (9:40 pm ET, CSBA) at Chase Field, Phoenix, Arizona. Arizona leads the two game series by 1-0 and would like to seal it in Game 2. Whereas the Giants would like to level the series. The Giants have 22-17 home, 9-9 away record and the Diamondbacks have 17-24 away, 8-11 home record which should make this one a no brainer for those into sports betting.

With six home runs, the San Francisco Giants matched a franchise worst while giving up a season-high 13 runs in their series opener. With a 3.01 ERA, San Francisco arrived in Phoenix although the

Arizona Diamondbacks (17-24) homered early and often in their 13-1 victory. Mark Reynolds is 2 for 16 (.125) with 10 strikeouts against Lincecum, while Chris Young has gone 2 for 27 (.074) with 10 strikeouts for the Diamondbacks. Like one of the league’s best, Lincecum (5-0, 1.76) is pitching again. On Saturday, he dominated Houston when he gave up one run and four hits in eight innings of a 2-1 win.

Lincecum can be matched by Arizona’s Rodrigo Lopez (2-2, 3.81) and only if he pitches it in the same way as he did it in Saturday at Atlanta. In eight innings of an 11-1 win, he has allowed one run and seven hits. For the Diamondbacks, Ian Kennedy’s efforts and Lopez’s pitching will be very crucial. Nearly two runs worse than any other club, Arizona relievers have a 7.90 ERA, which is a very big reason the team is in last place in the NL West.

The Giants need to improve their offense in order to win the division and are currently 1 1/2 game behind San Diego. In their last nine games, they have been held to two or fewer runs six times. During a seven-game losing streak earlier this month, the Diamondbacks were held to three or fewer runs six straight times and had just two hits in an 8-0 loss to Florida.
