NL East – Philadelphia Phillies
Philadelphia Phillies, the National League Team is just short of two winning times back-to-back since the Cincinnati Reds won the World Series in 1975-76. The Phillies have traded in the best pitcher this season into their team, Roy Halladay whereas they have sent Cliff Lee to Seattle in an exclusive exchange. This shows how the team is dead serious about winning the 2010 World Series.
The recent questions coming up in people’s mind are related to Roy Halladay, also called as “Doc”. Halladay won 148 games last season with Blue Jays which was the largest offseason coup. Halladay did all he had to do to establish his worth by pitching beam in Toronto. It is still a big question this year for all including the team management if it was right to trade him in against giving up Lee.
The handsome player Hamels had failed to give his best in the year 2009. He had a basic playing problem of locating the curveball. However, with Rich Dubee’s help he has gained a power over his problems of the curveball. This year Hamels will play for the Phillies. Brad Lidge blew up 11 saves in regular seasons but then got into the game last year for the World Series. If he can come up with the fast ball formation in him, only then will he be selected in this year’s World Series. But overall, we can expect the Philadelphia Phillies to understand that they will need more production of scores from the first line up players.
