AL West Preview – Seattle Mariners
Seattle Mariners had ended the 2009 Season finishing on 3rd position in AL West. Now Seattle Marine are up for major moves to continue and progress the success of last season and challenge the Mighty Angels in the AL West.
By signing Chone Figgins the Seattle Team has shown clear indications of how aggressive their strategy is. Figgins is known for his Defensive Ability and speed, With an average of 300 and 43 steals in last season, Seattle has the strongest front line.
Ichiro Suzuki is another player with .300 score and 200 hits average per year. Milton Bradley and Franklin Gutierrez are other players in this powerful lineup. The most favorite on all is Ken Griffey Jr. who has hit 19 home runs last season.
On the Pitching Front, King Felix Hemandez is on the top of the Seattle Rotation. Another Off season acquisition of Cliff Lee from philles. The Deadly team of King Felix and Cliff Lee is without doubt the best in the league. Other Pitchers include Ian Snell, David Aardsma, Ryan Rowland and Doug Fister.
With All the changes made before the start of the season the Mariners can easily win 50 games this year. Irrespective of the position they hold in the AL West it is definite that the team will score over .500 Don Wakamatsu has that leadership quality through which he can make his team to playoffs.
